AppetiteLocation:CityScapeWhat you'll do:The Senior Strategic Risk
Management (SRM) Analyst will be responsible for supporting the
Risk Appetite program including quarterly reporting and monitoring
of RAS KRIs as well as the annual review and refresh of risk
appetite statements, supporting KRIs, and thresholds in alignment
with the company's strategic objectives. The Senior SRM Analyst
will also ensure program governance requirements are adhered to and
actively engage KRI owners to ensure timely and accurate reporting
of quarterly RAS metrics, and ensuring breaches of defined KRI
limits are appropriately documented along with appropriate risk
mitigation actions. Reporting to the Associate Director - Risk
Appetite, the ideal candidate will be actively curious, ready to
challenge the status quo, able to comprehensively synthesize and
communicate information, as well as driven to continuously improve.
The Senior SRM Analyst will be expected to effectively collaborate
with key stakeholders across the Three Lines of Defense to ensure
risks are managed effectively, in accordance with company policies
and related regulatory requirements.What we are looking for:
Responsibilities:
- Support annual and ongoing enhancements of the Risk Appetite
Framework, including policy, procedures, and training. Challenge
status quo in these areas to deliver industry best practices.
- Coordinate and lead annual working sessions in partnership with
2LOD and metric owners to assess business strategy, objectives, and
risks to develop the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), supporting KRIs
and thresholds.
- Credible challenge of Qualitative Statements in the RAS, KRIs,
thresholds, and action plans when KRIs breach thresholds.
- Manage timely reporting of risk appetite KRIs and holding KRI
owners and risk managers accountable for breach protocols and
mitigation action plans, including timely escalations of breaches
to relevant committees.
- Support identification of Top and Emerging risks and ensure
these are measured with suitable KRIs and monitoring.
- Support KRI owners and risk managers with ongoing enhancements
of KRIs where needed.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience.
- 3 + years of direct related experience in Risk Management,
Compliance, Finance (Public Accounting, FP&A) or Project
Management.
- Awareness of general finance and banking industry operations,
such as financial reporting and analysis, public accounting,
internal audit, risk management, product development, and
regulatory compliance.
- Awareness of applicable regulatory and legal compliance
obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and
practices.
- Relevant/Transferable industry or professional experience,
e.g., public accounting, internal audit, risk management,
management consulting, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication skills, especially speaking and listening
skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
