professionals.SUMMARYThe Formulation, Research & Development
Technician at Covetrus, a pioneering specialty compounding
pharmaceutical manufacturer, plays a pivotal role within our newly
established R&D team. Reporting to the R&D Formulation
Manager, the incumbent will be instrumental in enhancing existing
product formulas and spearheading the development of innovative
pharmaceutical solutions. This position offers an exciting
opportunity to contribute to the advancement of veterinary
pharmaceuticals while ensuring the highest standards of quality and
efficacy.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the
following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with the R&D Formulation Manager to implement
assigned experiments.
- Contribute to the ideation, formulation, and development of
novel pharmaceutical products tailored to the needs of veterinary
professionals.
- Execute laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate product
prototypes, ensuring they meet established standards for quality,
safety, and efficacy.
- Document and analyze experimental data, generating
comprehensive reports to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments,
including Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing, to
ensure seamless product development and transition to
production.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and regulatory
guidelines to inform product development strategies.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient laboratory environment,
adhering to safety protocols and best practices.SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This role does not entail supervisory
responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical
Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a pharmaceutical or related
laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with compounding techniques and pharmaceutical
formulation is highly desirable.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,
REGISTRATIONS
- Relevant certifications in pharmaceutical research and
development are advantageous but not mandatory.COMPETENCIES (SKILLS
AND ABILITIES)
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including formulation,
testing, and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the
ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and
industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for
effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adherence to safety protocols and practices within a laboratory
