ASSOCIATE MARKET CONSULTANT POSITIONThe Associate Market Consultant position primarily engages in strategic planning and market research regarding the Company s products and providing recommendations for the Company to respond to market needs.This position must regularly exercise discretion and judgement in evaluating the market conditions and providing recommendations to the Company.The Associate Market Consultant would also regularly exercise discretion and judgement in providing strategic advice and consult with potential customers, warehouse customers, Third Party DSD suppliers, customers, and Independent Contractor - Operator Sales Business ( IOS ) about their general business operations, development and provide recommendations and advice, using their expertise and specialized knowledge.The Associate Market Consultant will consult, train, and educate with respect to the laws and regulations that govern the sale of food products and handling of food products to ensure customer satisfaction and public safety. The Associate Market Consultant will also investigate and resolve potential concerns or issues.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The Associate Market Consultant position primarily engages in strategic planning and market research regarding the Company s products and provides recommendations to respond to market needs and improve Company products.Strategic planning consists of evaluating the needs of the market and recommending and implementing necessary programs.Market research regarding Company products to coincide with regional velocities and demographics.The Associate Market Consultant regularly exercises discretion and judgement in providing strategic advice and consult with potential customers, warehouse customers, Third Party DSD suppliers, customers, and Independent Contractor - Operator Sales Business ( IOS ) about their general business operations, development and provide recommendations and advice, using their expertise and specialized knowledge.This position must regularly exercise discretion and judgement, when utilizing data and buying trends, in evaluating the market conditions and providing recommendations to management.Independent Discretion and authority:The Associate Market Consultant represents the Company in the field and has broad authority to resolve issues and concerns as they arise and works under general supervision.The Associate Market Consultant must be a strategic thinker and look for creative solutions to improving the Company s business, products, and customer s operations.The Associate Market Consultant facilitates programs both within their markets and outside their markets as the needs arise, and they also maintain and develop assessments of sales records and activities.Consulting and Training:The Associate Market Consultant will recruit and train on different issues in their markets and assist in the development of potential new markets and customers.The Associate Market Consultant will provide advice to customers/IOS in the development of new and current products and markets.It is critical that this position provides reports and recommendations to Senior Management regarding market conditions, developments, factors impacting the operation of the Company, its products and customers/IOS, sales and customer activity and issues.This position requires the presenting of Senior Management with strategic planning initiatives to maximize the Company products and sales within their markets.This position is also critical in ensuring food products are being handled consistent with all federal, state, and local laws that govern the sale of food products and handling of food products to ensure public safety.The Associate Market Consultant will consult, train, and educate current and potential customers, Third Party DSD suppliers, IOS and public with respect to the laws and regulations that govern the sale of food products and handling of food products to ensure public safety.This position will also investigate potential concerns in this area and develop and institute plans to respond to events or conditions which could threaten public safety.Travel:The position requires extensive travel, to increase, foster, and improve the Company s products, which is central to the Company s business and operations.An essential function of this position requires extensive travel
upwards of ninety percent (90%) of the time
in a large geographic area.Travel will consist of various means of transportation, including but not limited to, airline and motor vehicle. In order to properly visit markets, the Associate Market Consultant is expected to fly or drive to particular markets, and drive between locations for up to an eight-hour period, with or without multiple stops throughout the day.Discretion in Execution:The Associate Market Consultant has abundant discretion and judgement in executing their duties, including working with little supervision, as well as using their own expertise and judgment in strategic planning and development.However, the Associate Market Consultant must still regularly report to the Company regarding their duties discussed herein.Communications:In addition to the above, this position must recap daily activities, developmental, and customer efforts as well as the following day plans primarily via email to the Company.The Associate Market Consultant must also present a strategic planning initiative to Senior Management on the first of each month regarding the items discussed above, as well as advice and suggestions for corporate initiatives moving forward within their markets to maximize operations, products, sales, and customer operations.This position requires lifting, bending and carrying Company equipment, products or displays.OTHER DUTIES:As business and operational needs dictate, additional duties may be assigned, from time to time, at the Company s sole discretion.
