Shift: 4PM-4AMThe Filler Operator has a primary responsibility to
run and maintain fillers and other related equipment. (S)he
operates continuous flow equipment to process milk, cream, and
other beverage products, following specified methods and formulas.
(S)he is responsible for quality, food safety and product
specifications.Essential Duties:Clean, set-up, operate and monitor
equipment of the production line.Operate ingredients distribution
feeder.Complete scheduled quality checks.Monitor weights, seals,
caps, and general packaging of product.Adjust filler timing and
filling as needed.Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate
operating difficulties.Ensure that the proper packaging materials
are used for each product being produced.Perform filler and filler
line changeoversComplete cleaning checklist once line has completed
run.Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as
needed.Maintain communication with other departments, management
and associates and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that
may restrict the efficiency of production.Analyze process data and
equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and
troubleshoot while assisting in identifying opportunities to
improve processes.Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite
programs and food quality related to designated area.Report any
food safety and food quality related issues to management
immediately.Ensure all required information is documented in
accordance with SOP s.Follow Quality Assurance standards and
collect required samples, as needed, for Quality Assurance
testing.Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and
accurate format, and completed with required information.Follow all
required work safe practices. This would include compliance of Good
Manufacturing Practices, wearing required PPE in designated areas,
confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints,
etc.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or
GED preferred3+ months experience in manufacturing, dairy or
another related field preferredAbility to add, subtract, multiply
and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions and decimals.Fluency in English; speak, read and
writeAbility to work in a cold and wet environment for prolonged
periods of timeMust be able to work in various
temperature-controlled zones ranging from cold to hotDemonstrated a
mechanical aptitude and can work and maneuver in tight and awkward
areas and positionsAbility to operate equipment at recommended
speeds and communicate mechanical and operational defects as they
arise.Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the
department which may be subject to evenings, nights, weekends and
holidays.Must be able to frequently reach up to 31-77
inches.Physical Demands:Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger,
handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsRegularly reach with
hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlRegularly taste or
smell milk-based productOccasionally sit and occasionally climb
ladders or work on a platformRegularly lift and/or move up to 50
