We are searching for a Distribution Center Operations Managerto
join our TollesonTeam!

As a DC Operations Manager you will be responsible for the
managerial oversight of the operational function at the Tolleson
distribution center. This includes the Customer Service Team and
Transportation/Warehouse Team. In this role, you will be the main
point of contact for equipment and building maintenance/repairs and
day to day operations, office/business administration oversight,
and safety/risk management.
How will you impact our organizationon a daily basis?
- Support, manage and analyze DC customer service functions to
continuously improve on all levels of customer satisfaction.
- Serve as liaison between the Customer Service Team,
Warehouse/Delivery Team and Sales Team to resolve issues and
maintain focus on the customer.
- Analyze and manage the warehousing and delivery functions to
continuously improve the efficiency levels and safety.
- Monitor and evaluate expectations and performance of DC staff
through coaching and development opportunities.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the DC to achieve
specific operating income and ROA goals.
- Create an environment that encourages teamwork, customer
satisfaction, productivity and mutual respect between team
members.
- Managerial oversight of Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Supervisor
to ensure they have established and executed necessary staffing
systems, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent, accurate
and timely customer order fulfillment.
- Hold Warehouse Management accountable for the investigation of
shipping and receiving errors and implementation of corrective
action plans.
- Work with Credit Department to resolve billing discrepancies,
payment deductions and shipment errors.
- Work in conjunction with the regional Buyers and Supply Chain
Managers to coordinate product movement, warehouse space
requirements and stock rotation.
- Develop plans for selling aged inventory in partnership with
Sales team and regional Buyers.
- Monitor and approve all freight transactions, including review
of freight adders on a semi-annual basis in partnership with
SCMs.
- Develops systems, processes, and procedures to optimize
equipment and related resources, including effective material
movement and logistics, while delivering value to our customers.
Leadership and Communications Skills:
- Adhere and promote Company values by performing duties in a
manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the
continued growth of the company.
- Facilitate the hiring process of DC staff and long-term
planning for staffing requirements.
- Provide motivational and developmental leadership to DC staff
on a daily basis; conducts semi-annual performance reviews for
direct reports.
- Establish performance objectives and training plans; conduct
strategic planning for the facility.
- Provide coaching to Warehouse Managers/Warehouse Supervisors in
order to help develop their managerial skills set.
- Create a safe and compliant work environment by providing
adequate safety training; conduct monthly safety meetings and
complete training as determined by HSE; update all HSE training
documentation in B2B database as required. Required Skills and
Qualifications:
- A minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in supply chain, distribution, warehouse and/or
logistics sectors in the manufacturing or distribution
industry.
- Experience in the Composites industry and Quality Assurance is
strongly preferred.
- Experience in Aerospace is strongly preferred.
- High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent is required.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, or related field, strongly
preferred.
- Occasional travel, up to 10%.
- Knowledge of the tools, roles and procedures needed to
establish and monitor budgets.
- Knowledge of the major responsibilities, accountabilities and
organization of the customer support function or department.
- Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing
one or more warehouses or distribution centers.
- Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational
considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and
materials throughout the distribution cycle. Why should you join
