Job Profile SummaryThe Electrical Engineer Professional is responsible for sustaining engineering and engineering support of production activities for Boyd's Thermal Control Systems. The individual will assure all products meet customer requirements during all manufacturing processes. The engineer will use electrical design knowledge to evaluate, troubleshoot, modify and test electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Job Description Boyd's Thermal Test and Control Systems division, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is developing innovative thermal test solutions for the semiconductor industry. The engineering team is seeking to grow our multi-disciplined engineering team to tackle new challenges in the industry and is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to fill a critical role within the team. General Responsibilities The Electrical Design Engineer will be a member of a multi-discipled engineering team to provide innovative thermal test solutions to the semiconductor industry. The position is responsible for sustaining engineering and engineering support of production activities. The engineer will also be involved in supporting products already in the field. This engineer will work closely with manufacturing personnel to support existing production lines, and trouble shoot processes and product that is not conforming to existing requirements. The engineer will be responsible for implementing changes to correct any issues found. The role will include: Creating, modifying, or analyzing electrical product designs within an inter-disciplinary team to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges Become the technical expert for production test processes, assist test technicians with troubleshooting of production test issues and promote process improvement in production test processes. * Selects electrical components, creates schematics, performs PCB layout (preferable with Altium software) and assists in finding vendors to fabricate designed PCBs Leads feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs* Develops and carries out test plans, engineering analysis, qualification testing required for production launch* Responsible for failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations* Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons learned; produce design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures* Leads and/or is a member of a team that includes senior engineers/managers for the purpose of engaging with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budgetPDN-990b15dc-89cc-4888-84a9-1c8a2b365f25
