Job Description:

Title: Driving Trainer/Instructor
Location: -Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 6 months contract with possible of extension

Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:
Under the direction of L&D, conducts in-person classroom training as well as behind-the-wheel training for new and existing drivers. Also provides training to experienced drivers regarding new and existing procedures and policies. Performs the job and duties of Driver when not actively training. Estimated time spent training is 80% of their time.

Essential Functions:
--- Provide classroom-based and behind-the-wheel training to new and existing drivers -
--- Act as a presenter, driver, and right-seat in-car instructor for various training programs as assigned. -
--- Develop and deliver daily training topics for driver/operator staff. -
--- Spot check driver safe practices on a regular basis. -
--- Accurately and consistently log and enter driver training records in accordance with established practices. -
--- Conduct periodic driver training re-certifications for licensed test drivers and other personnel as needed. -
--- Work to expand and develop new driver training programs as required. -
--- Set the standard for safe driving and be an example for the staff and students. -
--- Train staff with regard to rules and regulations, advocating driver training consistent with safety rules and regulations. -
--- Perform all functions of Driver functioning as such when called upon and not actively training. -
--- Ability to conduct special test driver duties and responsibilities as necessary. -
--- Continually work to improve your driver skills earning new training certificates and higher levels of training knowledge. -
--- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
--- Perform various additional duties assigned as needed.

Other essential functions:
--- Perform all functions of manual driving trainer during experiential training programs. -
--- Act as a Driver, andfunction as such if called upon and not actively training. -
--- Provide behind the wheel training and skills evaluations for new and existing employees. -
--- Develop and deliver daily training topics for staff. Spot check driver safety practices on a regular basis. -
--- Accurately and consistently log and enter driver training and evaluation records in accordance with established practices.
--- Conduct periodic driver training re-certifications for licensed test drivers and other personnel.
--- Work to expand and develop new driver training programs as required. -
--- Set the standard for safe driving and be an example for staff and students.
--- Train staff with regard to all prescribed rules and regulations, advocating driver training consistent with safety rules and regulations. -
--- Ability to conduct special test driver duties and responsibilities as necessary. -
--- Continually work to improve your driving and training skills earning new credentials as needed and higher levels of training knowledge. -
--- Ability to maintain confidentiality. -
--- Perform various additional duties as requested. -
