Job Description:
General Description: Responsible for responding to requests for
estimates and proposals as directed by the Service Manager, or as
necessary for current clients. This position participates in the
development of new service sale opportunities and the ongoing
growth of existing customers. The project manager will be required
to use his or her experience, sound judgement and initiative to
successfully meet the Service Department objectives and revenue
goals. You will manage your projects in a matter that exceeds our
customers' expectations and ensure that our work adheres to all
company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements. This
position reports directly to the Service Department manager. Note:

(Separate attachment) Duties: Ability to identify, qualify and
close sales opportunities within multiple markets as assigned,
directed, or pursued. * Follow leads, and present to the Service
Manager. * Create new leads when opportunities present itself. *
Establishes key strategic partner relationships. * Promote the
company as much as possible. * Upsell the client if possible, and
within moral reasoning. Responsible for coordination of all the
parts and pieces of each project: * Phone contact * Site contact *
Account management * Proposals * Change orders * Contracts *
warrantee's Put electrical estimates together from construction
drawings, sketches and job walks. * Get proper pricing for fixture
packages, gear packages or any other specialty pricing as per each
specific job. * Provide summaries, bid summaries, all quoted items
and updated pricing as needed. * Put together proposals based on
scope of work. * Review estimates briefly one last time before
sending off. * Make sure all of your inclusions and exclusions are
correct. * The ability to provide budgetary numbers. Manage project
from start to finish * Supply technician with all information
needed for a successful build of the project. ** preconstruction
meeting and/or layout of the job before the tech is to do the work.
* Ability to work effectively managing multiple jobs with multiple
priorities. * Go through contract (if applicable) and check for
discrepancies before bringing to the Service manager for a
signature. * Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns * Price
any additional change orders * Do monthly billings on time in
coordination with your specified general contractor * Manage
materials spent, and labor hours used on project throughout
duration of project. * Work with the superintendent/pm/owner/client
etc with any labor concerns that specifically impact your job. *
Work with the client in meeting the job schedule. * Attend job site
meetings as necessary if necessary. * Provide coaching/counseling
to techs. ** Listen to needs/concerns/complaints of foreman and
field employees and report. * Manage materials spent, and labor
hours used on project throughout duration of project. * Work with
the superintendent with any labor concerns that specifically impact
your job. and bring up to the Service manager. * Schedule all
deliveries for each specific job. Always first attempt to have all
materials delivered to the jobsite and NOT the shop. Keeping
relationships with clients is of utmost importance. * Always return
calls same day the message is left. * Follow up any important
information via email for a paper trail to cover yourself. * Take
out to lunch periodically. * Make it a personal relationship,
become good friends with your clients. Present any concerns of
safety, insubordination, theft, or any other issues with techs,
subcontractors, superintendent, or any other employee with the
Service Manager immediately. Adherence to company policies and
procedures as required for service work. Necessary skills and
abilities: * 10 yrs skill and knowledge of project management in
the electrical field. A construction or electrical degree is
desired but not required. * The ability to use the Estimating
software system and bid projects. * Being a salesman to always be
on the hunt for new work and sales. * Proper dress code and
maintenance of self as per company handbook. * Strong computer
skills and at least the use of Excel, word, adobe acrobat, zip
files, etc. * Proper professional communication with ALL persons *
Learn the Tom Pop system and can properly budget jobs. * Maintain a
positive attitude towards all situations, work on solutions rather
than focusing on problems. * Good filing system of all work; be
able to have a "paper trail" to cover yourself for any unforeseen
