Position Description

County just kicked off a complete system upgrade to Workday with a go-live date of Sep 2022; this position will play a pivotal role in leveraging technology to improve, drive, and maintain the HR Technology that runs County.

Expertise around implementing and configuring Workday

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for configurations across various HR modules, including Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, Recruiting, etc.

Develop, deliver, document and test solutions for complex business needs

Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities

Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday

Configure and implement business processes, upgrades, and enhancements for multiple modules within Workday, support testing and data validation; and ensure that overall system performance is aligned

Configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday

Assist in testing of integrations, security, annual events

Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday Team Lead, Workday Team Members, and clients as appropriate

Analyze current functionality, troubleshoot and test for production defects and propose enhancements

Skills Required Must have great communication, documentation, time management, and project management experience as well as be able to train and share knowledge with other County employees.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Skills Required: Advanced knowledge configuring and implementing at least one of the following Workday modules: Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, Recruiting, or Payroll.

Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, strong documentation skills

Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management

Understanding of or experience working in local government

Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects

Skills Preferred Advanced understanding of the touchpoints between Workday modules.

Experience Required Experience supporting human resources technology, experience supporting and configuring Workday Experience in upgrading systems

Experience Preferred

Workday HCM experience or training preferred

HR functional and system experience preferred Experience implementing new HR applications, security administration, and creating custom reports and analytics

Education Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Computer Science, Business or Public Administration, or a related field

Education Preferred

Graduate degree in Human Resources Management, Computer Science, Business or Public Administration, or a related field
