Business Analyst role is a critical function on our team, in order
to compile requirements, create specification documents, assist the
Data Engineers with their extracts from our UDW and Galaxy data,
respond to requestor questions, and complete requested analysis. -
Our Regulatory Reporting team responds to requests from State
Departments of Insurance, Federal Department of Justice, and our
internal Legal Department, to meet regulatory and legal compliance
needs, and allow UHG to continue doing business in the states,
avoid fines, and provide information for legal challenges. -
Business Analysts conduct and manage outcomes of various reports
that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and
presenting information for regulatory and business planning. They
support short and long term operational / strategic business
activities - by developing, enhancing, and maintaining operational
information and models. They also develop and implement effective /
strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data
and business processes. You'll enjoy the flexibility to

tough challenges. - Primary Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and
opportunities for the business and clients
- Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate
audience
- Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client and
operational reports relating to the development and performance of
products, processes and technologies
- Define and document business processes and projects
- Consult with business departments to identify requirements and
document
- Define project scope and objectives
- Model business processes (current and future)
- Escalate issues to the Project Manager as appropriate
- Provide agendas and follow up with meeting minutes
- Participate in prototyping solutions to provide the business
unit a preliminary evaluation of requirements You'll be rewarded

you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree -
- Certified Business Analyst
- 2+ years of business analyst experience
- 1+ years of intermediate level experience with MS Access
Preferred Qualifications:
- Systems Analyst experience
- Healthcare claims experience
- Data Warehouse experience
- Experience providing explanations and interpretations within
area of expert
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with SQL or other business intelligence tools
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Access
- Working knowledge of compliance with state audit and data

Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $26.15 to $46.63.
The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $28.85 to
$51.30. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited
to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to
