Job Description:
SUMMARY:A construction professional responsible for on-site
supervision, administration, and coordination of a construction
project to the complete satisfaction of the client and
architect/engineer.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Safety Duties
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment.
- Enforce all company, OSHA, and other applicable safety
standards with subcontractors and employees.
- Hold required safety meetings.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation and reporting of
safety issues.
- Maintain a clean jobsite.
- Report unsafe acts of subcontractors to the Project Manager,
Safety Director, and General Superintendent.
- Use citation forms and ensure that they are posted and logged
on site.Communication
- Effectively work with the project team on all job specific
issues.
- Keep the P.M. advised of job status via written and verbal
communication.
- Advise the P.M. immediately in case of:
- Any problem with owner, engineer/architect, supplier, or
subcontractor
- Time loss accident
- OSHA inspection
- Pickets or business agent on jobsite
- Additional project costs
- Effectively communicate with all parties: i.e., owner,
architect/engineer, project manager, crew, government agencies, and
inspectors.
- Review IR Log issues with the General Superintendent.Client and
Architect/Engineer Relations
- Establish a professional rapport with the client and
architect/engineer.
- Prepare for and participate in regular owners and/or architect
meetings.
- Submit accurate and timely RFI's.Coordinating/Scheduling Duties
- Work with the project team to update and analyze the project
schedule on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for day-to-day project operations.
- Prepare two-week look-ahead schedules based on the overall job
schedule or an accelerated schedule for use by all parties
involved.
- Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors and material
suppliers.
- Schedule Weis Builders Associates and equipment through shop
foreman.
- Act as liaison on project issues for all concerned parties:
i.e. architect, owner, subcontractors.
- Monitor subcontractor manpower to ensure the schedule is being
met.Quality Control Duties
- Ensure all work is in compliance with specified quality
standards.
- Prepare field scope reviews with subcontractors prior to work
starting.
- Conduct pre-install (i.e. windows, masonry, waterproofing,
etc.) meetings.
- Inspect subcontractor's work for quality compliance.
- Inspect material for quality compliance.
- Request outside inspection as needed to ensure quality
control.
- Coordinate testing agencies.
- Interpret plans and specifications for all parties.
- Prepare and complete Weis Quality Checklist (QCL).
- Strive for zero punchlist.
- Accurately complete and distribute Manufacturer Representative
Observation/Inspection reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite office.Administration
Duties
- Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely
manner. This includes job diaries and timecards.
- Tag and report equipment defects.
- Determine material quantities as requested.
- Control and monitor all change orders in a timely manner.
- Monitor all required submittals to ensure timeliness and
compliance.
- Monitor subcontractor time and material work as required.
- Provide documentation as required.
- Prepare/obtain as-built drawings.
- Lead weekly progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Take and maintain weekly job progress and fall protection
photos.
- Maintain daily SWPPP documentation and logs.Supervision Duties
- Treat all associates and subcontractors in a fair, equitable,
and consistent manner.
- Maintain a good working relationship with associates and
subcontractors.
- Address and document performance problems that occur.
- Anticipate likely subcontractor performance problems and
address them before they occur.
- Provide subcontractors with positive or negative feedback as
required.
- Support and participate in training at all levels.
- Assure subcontractors are completing work per subcontract
agreement.
- Support and participate in training at all levels.

agreement.Cost Control Duties
- Responsible for efficient utilization of labor, equipment,
materials, subcontractors and other related resources to minimize
job cost.
- Accurately complete the PO Log.
- Inform foremen and crew of production goals and standards.
- Track labor hours on LCC.
- Keep the P.M. informed and to provide updates to crews on
production performance.
- Keep abreast of current construction means, methods, and
procedures. Implement them to improve production standards.SWPPP
- Proficient in managing on site requirements for SWPPP,
Insurance, and I9 programs.
- Maintain daily SWPPP documentation
- Responsible for SWPPP compliance on job siteMiscellaneous
- Maintain professional image (i.e. appearance, dress, and
behavior).
- Understanding of local, state, and federal building codes.
- Participate in project team meetings with Project Executive and
the P.M. as requested.
- Consistently strive to delight Weis Builders' clients.
- Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job

Training:
- High school diploma
- 4-year Construction management or related degree
desired.-Knowledge and Experience:
- Four years of management or supervisory experience in the
construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of construction and trade activities, tools,
equipment operation and carpentry skills of various trade
types.
