Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking an Inventory Control & Buyer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position will be responsible for researching, vetting, negotiating, and monitoring all aspects of supplier relationships within the Phoenix location. This role will utilize lean principles to manage inventories and must be able to analyze and track the needs of the facility to ensure tactical and strategic supply levels. This role will also be involved in cycle counting to support the ERP system (SAP).

Primary Duties
Strategically manages inventory levels, utilizing lean principles, of all direct and indirect raw materials and supplies (office, production, and support functions) within the Phoenix location
Collaborates with Order Detailing and Production Manager on material needs for upcoming production orders
Monitors and addresses quality of supplies and material incoming into the facility and address any concerns immediately
Researches, vets, negotiates, and monitors all aspects of supplier relationships within the Phoenix location
Works with Finance support to track pricing & negotiate savings with suppliers to position plant in best possible financial position
Utilizes cycle counting to support facility ERP system (SAP).
Critical Success Factors
Advanced ERP experience, preferably SAP
Must have strong attention to detail as well as good communication skills
Ability to effectively manage time while working on multiple assignments with guidance as to relative priorities of assignments
A demonstrated understanding of the significance of supply chain and operations.
Advanced usage knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Must have the ability to setup min/max inventory, cycle counts, and operating processes
Comfortable analyzing information and dealing with complexity
Must be able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Advanced ERP experience, preferably SAP
Must have strong attention to detail as well as good communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage time while working on multiple assignments with guidance as to relative priorities of assignments.
3+ years experience with procurement, distribution, and logistics.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
A demonstrated understanding of the significance of supply chain and operations.
Advanced usage knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Must have the ability to setup min/max inventory, cycle counts, and operating processes
3 years experience in high volume manufacturing
Comfortable analyzing information and dealing with complexity
Must be able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
