Job Description:

AZ PARTSMASTER has a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual as a Buyer/Replenishment Associate at our Phoenix branch. The Buyer will facilitate the replenishment of our branch locations via vendor orders and/or transfer of stock. Buyers insure that inventory turns and stocking levels are in line with company standards. Monitors vendor performance and take necessary steps to insure vendor compliance with PARTSMASTER policies and with agreed upon service levels.This is a full-time opportunity, Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.Interested candidates please submit resume with salary history to be considered.Primary Duties:*Process (place) vendor orders as needed.*Initiate inventory transfers as needed to provide fulfillment and/or balance stock levels.*Maintain appropriate stocking levels to insure that inventory turns are within company guidelines.*Monitor delivery time to insure that vendors are performing per agreement.*Review vendor price increases, take steps to mitigate requests for price increases.*Insure that the data in system (Prophet 21) is accurate.*Identify trends in product usages (increases and decreases) and take steps to insure that PARTSMASTER stock levels reflect those changes.*Work with the Merchandising team to identify new items and product changes, insure that system reflects those changes.*Identify and recommend vendors for consolidation and/or replacement.*Communicate to Marketing special buy opportunities that may be used for promotions.Skills/Qualifications:*High School Degree or equivalent, advanced business degree and/or certification in purchasing a plus.*Basic knowledge of some or all primary categories (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, Hardware)*Above average computer skills (typing, word processing, data entry).*Experience with EXCEL fundamentals required, advanced training and/or skill a plus.*Must be able to communicate clearly by telephone and e-mail.*Problem analysis and problem-solving*Attention to detail and accuracy*Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload*Organizational skills a must*Required experience: 1 year*A mature professional who is a team player and dependable with a solid attendance record, motivated and possess a professional positive demeanor.Interested candidates should submit a current resume with salary history by email or fax to (480) 265-3124No Calls PleaseAbout The CompanyAZ PARTSMASTER is a full line Maintenance Supplier (MRO supplier) of HVAC, Appliances & Appliance Repair Parts, Electrical & Lighting Supplies, General Maintenance Supplies, Tools, Hardware, Janitorial Supplies, Lawn & Garden Supplies, Plumbing Supplies and Pool Supplies.
