Core Health Services, Inc. is a Counseling Facility that is structured to offer treatment for drugs and alcohol abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our program provides a healing environment and is geared to assist our clients to achieve serenity and long-term recovery through individualized treatment plans, group therapy, psychotherapy, individualized counseling, supplemental therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Holistic Therapy, and educational groups. Our goal is to empower our clients by serving them with tools and resources to assist them transition smoothly and successfully into the community and become independent. Job Title: Counselor Reports to: Clinical Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated counselor to help provide direction and support for our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for developing treatment and recovery plans, and identifying behaviors that impede rehabilitation. You may also be required to facilitate individual and group therapy sessions. To ensure success, counselors should be familiar with the latest treatment methods, and collaborate with other mental health care specialists. Top-notch candidates have excellent clinical knowledge and demonstrable counseling experience. Responsibilities: Evaluating patients' physical and mental behaviors. Developing appropriate treatment and recovery plans. Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions. Monitoring patients over time to access treatment progress. Collaborating with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, and departments of correction. Identifying behaviors that interfere with treatment and recovery. Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients Prepare progress notes and letters for relevant parties Facilitate referrals to other community resources Recognize crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions/de-escalation Develop positive, professional relationships with staff, and clients. Perform job functions within the organization's structure and per company protocol Required Skills: Ability to maintain confidentiality Knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, trauma informed care and person-centered treatment approaches. Knowledge of crisis intervention and stabilization, which includes, but is not limited to suicide prevention. Basic technology skills including typing, phone use, computers, and basic software use. Ability and motivation to work independently and without direct supervision as well as in a team and with the public. Openness to learning new skills and technology as necessary; must participate in training as required. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature. Education/Experience: Previous experience in substance abuse, social work, other related fields (3 yr or more) Master's degree in counseling or a related field CPR certification required Fingerprint Clearance Card Arizona State Licensure required in either ( Substance Abuse, Social Work or Licensed professional counselor) Experience in individual and group counseling Must pass a criminal background check.
