integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs
of our
customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of
the systems
lifecycle, from the front end of business development through
product end of
life. You will work across disciplines within the Electronic
Solutions
Engineering organization and the Avionics Gold Business
Enterprise's Military
Integrated Avionics Product Line to drive growth, build exceptional
engineering
talent, and reach critical business milestones.KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and orchestrate a diverse team to perform technical
execution, technical risk management, and requirements management
for platforms served by the Military Avionics Center of
Excellence.
- Develop Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP)
- Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility
assessment, and technical solution development including but not
limited to test strategy and architecture development, test design,
and development.
- Lead system documents development, including but not limited to
system-level requirements, Interface Control Document, Software
Requirements Specification, Software/Systems Test Plan and
Procedure, Certification documents
- Lead system validation and verification
- Lead system integration, including issue resolution (e.g. FMEA,
RCCA)
- Lead system design team meetings (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA,
TIMs) with internal and external customers
- Lead trade studies
- Partner with the Project Engineer in managing the program's
cost, schedule, work breakdown structure, work allocation,
planning, and coordination
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and their needs
- Drive Market Growth by providing technical support and
expertise to Sr. Technical Engineering Manager, Customer Business
Managers, and Technical Sales team members during pursuit of new
business to ensure product offerings align with customer
requirements. Active participant on proposal efforts as a Military
Avionics Systems subject matter expert, including development of
estimates (BOEs).
- Build Exceptional Talent: continuously serves as a mentor to
more junior Systems Engineers in Deer Valley, Puerto Rico, and
Brno.U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export
control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person,
which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or
have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or
have the ability to obtain an export authorizationYOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical
discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or
mathematics
- Due to export controls and ITAR products, the candidate must be
a US citizen
- 10+ years' experience--working on Avionics products
particularly Flight Management Systems (FMS), Flight Controls
Systems (AFCS), or Communication Management Functions (CMF).WE

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field
- Secret Clearance not necessary but certainly a plus!
- Advanced knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
- Proven track record developing new or maintaining current FMS,
AFCS, or CMF solutions
- Individuals who quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new
information and concepts.
- Leaders' adept with a diverse and global team
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with
minimum supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get
things done.
- Ability to adapt to project changes
- Multi-tasker and ability to manage a variety of complicated
tasks and people
- Strong communication skills and ability to create and sustain

- Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a challenging and
fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with military systems and software development
standards and requirements
- Familiarity with DO-178/DO-254 and similar design assurance
guidelines
- Aerospace engineering experience
- Experience base or ability to engage on legacy software
languages such as Ada
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink or other similar modeling
tools
