CA, AZ, HI, NM, Southern Nevada)Job SummaryThe Sr. Medical Science
Liaison (Sr. MSL) is a field-facing representative of US Medical
Affairs with a primary responsibility of engaging in the exchange
of scientific data and other medical and/or scientific information
withKOLs/HCPs, researchers,diagnostic centers,and decision makers
in the areas of Eisai's interest. The person in this position
willdemonstratea thorough understanding ofAlzheimer's
disease(AD)diagnostics, includingthe needs,issues,and priorities as
they relate to Eisai's strategicmedicalplan.MSLs will be trained
and certified onADdiagnostic tests/platforms/assays, including
PET/CSF/BBBMtoprovidefair & balanced scientific education
onappropriate useofAlzheimer's diagnostic biomarkers (AB, tau,
etc.),whileunderstanding the ever-evolving diagnostic
landscape/pipeline.The impact that adiagnosticMSL will have on the
organization includesfulfilling educational gaps with KOLs/HCPson
the diagnostic pathway in AD (cognitive screening and diagnostic
modalities),providecorporate value throughdemonstratedleadership,
teamwork,participation in strategic thinking, and special projects.
Gainand gather medicaldiagnosticinsights to refineAD
diagnosticstrategy and continue to close the gap on unmet
educational needs for AD HCPs.MSLs alsoassumeresponsibility for
specialinternal/externalprojects as they arisein the diagnostic
space.This role will not support therapeutics and will be disease
state only.Essential FunctionsDiagnosticArea Support to
Stakeholders
- Act as the primary clinicaldiagnosticresource to HCPs in the
territory for informationpertaining todisease
stateeducation,ensuringawarenessand understanding.
- Identifypotential HCPs, clinical and research leaders,
academicians, clinicians, diagnostic directors, and other providers
for collaborative initiatives
- Serve as a conduit foraccurateand updated
clinical,scientificand medicaldiagnosticinformation betweenHCPs
includingKey Opinion Leaders
(KOLs)/investigators/NP/PA/radiologists/neuropsych/PCPs and
diagnostic centersand the company's Medical Affairs and development
groups.
- Establish, foster,cultivateandmaintainpeer relationships
withHCPs inADin which Eisai has current and future interests.
- Providetimelyhigh-qualityadvanced education as a scientific
expertregardingdiagnostic modalities(PET/CSF/BBBM) through
presentations and scientific exchange.
- Support assigned professionaldiagnosticcongressesin accordance
withMSL plan. Be prepared to lead congress coverage efforts,
including coordination of all MSL activities.
- Identifyand report key scientific, clinical and research
insights fromHCPs/diagnostic centersto Medical
Affairs.Training/EducationalResource
- Maintain anddemonstratethorough and up-to-date knowledge of
disease state, studymethodology, clinical information,
anddiagnostic data
- Demonstrate full knowledge of and ability to execute on
approved medical platforms/strategies and MSL initiatives
- Serve as technical/scientific subject matter resource to
Eisaicross functional partners
- Teach, coach and mentor new or less experienced MSLs; assume
responsibility for special projects.Providevaluable contributions
to the organization includingdiagnosticexpertiseand strategic
planning.
- Maintain a deep understanding
ofADpatientdiagnosticsrecommendations/guidelines/approvalsand
clinical utility of laboratory-developedtests
- Additionally providediagnosticmedical support to external
projects, such as advisory boards, educational activities.
- Ability to lead and motivate team members without a direct
reporting relationshipResearch Support& Compliance Adherence
- Facilitate review and follow up of
submittedInvestigator-InitiatedStudies (IISs) and assist with Eisai
sponsoreddiagnostic and monitoringtrials.
- Timely processing of all reported adverse events, must fully
understand the adverse event reporting (Pharmacovigilance) standard
operating procedures (SOPs)
- Demonstrate full awareness of and compliance with all SOPs and
applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job
type/position. Proactively identify and report any quality or
compliance concerns and take immediate action as
requiredEducational RequirementsAdvanced terminal D degree in
medical or health sciences (e.gMD/DO, PhD, PharmD)Experience
- 2-3 yearsdiagnosticMSL experience inneurology orsimilar disease
state;priordementia or AD research experiencestronglypreferred,
3yrs+ required for Sr MSL title
- Expertise in diagnostictestsused to confirm diagnosis
andbiomarkermonitoringin AD or similar disease state
- Broad understanding of various diagnostic modalities including
PET/CSF/BBBM
- Established relationships withKOLsinneurology,and knowledge of
institutionsfocused onADpreferred
- 3-5 years industry/ clinical research/ related experience in a
scientific or clinical setting.
- Strong broad-based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes,
FDA regulations, pharmaregulations/compliant practices,and OIG
guidelines are required.
- Knowledge and experience withinADand ability to communicate
with confidence and accuracy across multiple dementia disease
states.
- Experience working with other MSL counterparts within a
territory, strongly preferredOther Skills and Abilities:

the ability tobe seen as a scientific peer whileeducatingbroad
audiences fromKOLsto PCPs.
- Strong overall written and verbal communication skills.Keen

and video conferencing
- Possesses and maintains a valid driver's licenseand clean
driving record.
- Capable of engaging in frequent business travel
(approximately70% of time), including air travel, ability to travel
overnight and occasionally on weekends. Willing to work in a hybrid
environment with virtual and face to face engagements and balancing
as appropriate.
- This is a field-based position. The employee is required to set
up a home-based officewithin their defined territory.As a condition

Transparency Language:The base salary range for the Diagnostic
Senior Medical Science Liaison (Alzheimer's Disease) / Southwest /
Field Based is from :145,400-190,900Under current guidelines, this
position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual
Incentive Plan & Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan.Final pay
determinations will depend on various factors including but not
limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and
