Job Title: Senior Aluminum Aerospace Tig Welder

Location: 4045 W Washington

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Aluminum Aerospace Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding operations on aircraft components assemblies to the highest quality standards in accordance with AWSD17.1 Class A (Radiographic/Penetrant). The candidate will also be responsible for training others and building strong working relationships with trainees. This is a highly compensated position with a great deal of responsibilities that requires these skill sets to be present at the time of interview and hire. A weld exam and hands on weld test will be executed during the interview. Please come prepared.

Responsibilities:

Perform welding operations on aircraft components and assemblies made of aluminum alloys.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications, and work instructions.
Set up welding equipment to achieve the required weld quality and strength.
Conduct visual and non-destructive testing of welded joints to ensure conformance with specifications.
Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures while working with welding equipment.
Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Adhere to production schedules to ensure timely delivery of aircraft components.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve welding-related issues.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aluminum aerospace welding.
Proficient in welding techniques for aluminum alloys and able to perform to the standards of AWSD17.1 Class A (.020 material)
Knowledgeable in welding equipment and tools, including TIG and MIG welding machines.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, standing, and kneeling for long periods of time.
