Job Description:
Assist Prefab-Production Manager/Shop Manager with assignments
of daily production goals &material inventory. Assist in all
phases of the coordination of Prefabricated HVAC duct
systemsbetween the shop and field. In the Prefab-Production
Managers absence the Shop Lead Fabricatorwill substitute as the
shop supervisor.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND BASIC DUTIESFABRICATION
PROCESSES--- Verify and confirm all shop cut sheets including CAD
downloads to fabricate and meet the proper fabrication
specifications and processes.--- Meet and excel production goals
set by the Prefab Production Manager.--- Coordinate with the
Prefab-Production Manager the scheduling along with shipping of
fabrication ductwork to meet timely deadlines--- Data Input of duct
fabrication with duct fabrication softwarePRE-FAB PROCESSESAssist
in the Coordination of the the pre-fabrication of HVAC duct systems
with Prefab -Production Manager / CAD & -Field--- Build HVAC duct
systems by the reading of blueprints and coordinating fabrication
components to CAD/manual takeoffs--- Meet and excel prefabrication
goals set by the Prefab Production Manager.TRAINING--- Continued
Education and trade related training in; Coil line, Plasma Table
Operations, Duct Fabrication Standards & -Duct Fabrication
software--- Attend all safety training classes
requiredHOUSEKEEPING--- Conduct housekeeping duties to ensure a
safe work environmentRESPONSIBILITIES--- Attend all Sheet Metal
Shop safety and production meetings.--- Follow all Midstate
Mechanical employee and safety procedures--- Communicate in a
professional manner with co-workers and office personnel.--- Update
weekly productivity schedules--- Track weekly inventory of Coils,
Liner, Shop Supplies, Shop Materials -SHIPPING & -RECEIVING---
Ensure all orders are accurate.--- Ensure 100% readiness for
deliveries to specific job-sites, as determined by Shipping &
Receiving Manager.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High
School Diploma or Equivalent.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Basic
understanding of the HVAC Industry preferred.Knowledge of related
production/fabrication operations.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - -Four
years of experience in related field.SKILLS/ABILITIES: Well
organized, accurate and attentive to detail. Excellent
communications and public relations abilities. Ability to assist
and support others.TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDSFINGER DEXTERITY: Using
primarily just the fingers to make small movements -such as typing,
picking up small objects, or pinching fingers -together.TALKING:
Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or -important
instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.HEARING: Able
to hear average or normal conversations and receive -ordinary
information.REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly
required using the -wrists, hands, and/or fingers.VISUAL ABILITIES:
Average, ordinary, visual insight necessary to prepare or inspect
documents or operate machinery.PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Exert up to 30
lbs. of force, bend, climb ladders, and grip hand tools.WORKING
CONDITIONS: In accordance with any hazards related to a
construction job-site. Extreme summer temperatures.REASONING
ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but
-simple instructions and to deal with problems -involving a few
variables.MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform basic math skills
including adding, -subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers;
to perform -the four basic arithmetic operations with money; to
perform -operations with units such as inch, foot, yard, ounce,
-pound or metric counterparts.LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to use
passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; to -read at a slow rate;
define unfamiliar words in dictionaries -for meaning, spelling, and
pronunciation. Ability to write -complex sentences, using proper
punctuation, adjectives, and -adverbs. Ability to communicate in
complex sentences;using normal word order with present tenses, past
tenses, and -using a good vocabulary.INTENT AND FUNCTION OF JOB
