      Job Summary

      Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking a Tech Support Specialist who provides specialized technical support for equipment, networks, systems, telecommunications and technology security in an educational environment.

      Essential Functions

      60% Provides specialized support for desktops, classroom technology, audio visual systems, remote meeting platforms and/or voip phone systems; printing and coping technical support, responds to requests and help desk tickets and provides support for lockbox key access.

      15% Maintains system inventory, documentation, storage and security of equipment; initiates orders for parts as required.

      15% Performs advanced troubleshooting, hardware repair and maintenance of devices

      10% Performs other duties as assigned.

      Minimum Qualifications

      High School Diploma or GED and three years of experience with desktop user support or technical support for equipment, networks, systems, telecommunications, or technology security, appropriate to assignment.

      There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.

      Desired Qualifications
    • Three (3) years' experience providing technical support in an educational environment.
    • Three (3) or more years' experience working with macOS and Windows platforms: deployment of images, hardware repair, maintenance and support
    • Two (2) or more of years' experience working with a software distribution systems, group policy (SCCM, JAMF, etc)
    • Experience configuring and deploying various models of Tablets and Smartphones (Apple, Android, etc)
    • Experience with Audio Video: Crestron classroom technology systems, remote conferencing platforms and support of VOIP devices
    • Experience with Google workplace productivity tools, Microsoft 365 products and Adobe products.
    • Experience writing technical documentation, inventory management and maintenance tracking.

      Special Working Conditions
      • May require possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License or other state license; employee must meet district minimum standards regarding driving:
