Description:
The Blood Biopsy Group within TGen's Center for Noninvasive Diagnostics invites applications for a Bioinformatic and/or Computational Scientist. The goal of this position is to lead implementation of DNA sequencing data analysis is support of academic research projects focused on implementing cutting edge technologies such as TARDIS for analysis of circulating tumor DNA in patients with cancer. The successful candidate will deploy existing pipelines and develop improvements of analysis of whole genome, whole exome and targeted sequencing data from tumor, germline and plasma DNA samples. They will coordinate with the laboratory team to ensure successful design of personalized assays, implementation of the project and analysis workflow, and organization and delivery of results. The will contribute to interpretation of findings and development of publications describing advances in genomics-enabled diagnostics. Development, Implementation, maintenance and documentation of computational pipelines for analysis of DNA sequencing data Sequencing data. Meetings, presentations, seminars.

Requirements:
Education and Preferred Qualifications: Position minimally requires a degree in program in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science or other related field. Working experience in a related position preferred. Candidates with a PhD are also being considered. Candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, analysis of study and communication with other groups involved in study. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of Programing in Python, Bash, R, Julia and experience with NGS data files including Bam, VCF and FASTQ. Experience in designing multiplexed PCR assays, and ctDNA analysis recommended. PM21 PI191510361
