RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing Technology company in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the electronic assembly department. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. The Manufacturing Supervisor coordinates and supervises and evaluates the performance and work of production assembly and electronic assembly personnel. They also train employees in proper work methods and safety equipment use and prepares related work procedures.Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Supervisor will participate in the interviewing and selection of employees
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule employee assignments and projects
  • Orient or train employees regarding work procedures and safety techniques; Demonstrate proper kitting of products and use of materials
  • Establish and assure employee attainment of training and certification accountabilities
  • Organize tasks to improve efficiency of production lines and processes
  • Check work for acceptability and conformance with quality and productivity standards; Investigate and resolve employee questions and concerns
  • As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will participate in employee performance evaluations and assure attendance, communications and safety standards are attained
  • Ensure employee time keeping records area complete and accurate
  • Manage chemical inventory, and proper handling and disposal of materials
  • Work with Engineering to document and assure timely updating of manufacturing procedures and department work instructions as part of process improvement techniques
  • Monitor and report any scrap and rework problems
  • Coordinate work with Materials Planner to ensure timely work order execution
  • Maintain accurate inventory and work order transactions in ERP system
  • Archive daily and monthly production goals
  • Order and maintain inventory of supplies

    • High School diploma or AS degree required; BS degree is a plus
    • Minimum 5 years of assembly supervisory experience in a manufacturing or related industry
    • Electronic Assembly experience is required
    • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus
    • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Statistical Process Control
    • Experience in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace or medical device is a plus
    • Knowledge of JIT, Kanban, and Lean Manufacturing principles
    • Supervisory Principles and techniques
    • Ability to read and write standard operating procedures
    • Ability to learn and use an ERP System
    • Understanding of inventory control procedures
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude and set example by how they work
    • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with coworkersAbility to:
      • Read and understand blueprints
      • Plan and accomplish goals, make proper decisions, and apply common sense on a daily basis
      • Correctly record and verify transactions
      • Identify errors or discrepancies in documentation
      • Communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
      • Perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication, and division
      • Operate within supply and tool budgets
