Critical to the needs of our IT Department, the Senior Application Developer is responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning web-based and client server applications by using requirements analysis and design techniques as well as participating in the design of new applications. The Senior Application Developer will also assist other Developers in grooming and cross-training activities and will partner with chief infrastructure and architectural heads to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to understand business requirements
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot software to satisfy demand
  • Develop and maintain GUIs using design techniques
  • Develop and maintain new and existing web-based and client/server applications
  • Assist in the design of relational databases
  • Write test plans and user acceptance testing cases for quality assurance
  • Contribute to build design and coding standards to ensure consistency across applications
  • Contribute to improve the performance of applications via load and stress testing
  • Create custom ad-hoc reports
  • Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting production released applications
  • Be able to visualize and manipulate objects in three dimensions

Work Experience

5+ years' of proven experience within the application development space


BS in Computer Science or related field (Proven experience can substitute for degree requirement)

Software & Technology

  • Expert level knowledge of .Net (C#), SQL, JavaScript, Angular (6+)
  • Experience and knowledge of Web API, JSON, SOA, and ORMs (entity framework)
  • Experience with spatial and geometric programming
  • Familiar with microservices and containers
  • Experience with 3D software integrations
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
  • Experience designing graphical user interfaces is a plus but not required
