insights. The Enterprise Data and AI organization unites data
governance, strategy, engineering, and product teams with those
responsible for AI engineering, generative AI enablement, and
automation product and engineering. This group plays a pivotal role
in leveraging data as a core driver of innovation and integrating
AI capabilities to transform products, operations, and customer
experiences. The EDAI organization also incorporates technology
Research & Development and experimentation with emerging
capabilities, along with engineering support for Amex Digital Labs.
This integration ensures that research breakthroughs seamlessly
translate into business impact. As a Director of GenAI Product, you
will join our team that has embarked on launching GenAI products at
Amex. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the
strategy, development prioritization, and successful delivery of
products that both deliver and power GenAI. You will lead a product
team across enterprise demand, new/emerging capabilities, and
customer management in a way that will align with company goals and
inspire innovation while ensuring responsible AI. Our leaders work
with distributed teams in a highly dynamic environment
collaborating with product and technology leaders, and engineers
who are passionate about our journey to solve and deliver
technology-powered solutions that our customers love and that works
for our business. Key Responsibilities may include: • Keeping up
with the latest industry research around GenAI and related
technologies to ensure we are appropriately leveraging new
techniques and capabilities. • Applies industry standards and best
practices to ensure compliance, performance, and adoption of new
technologies. • Supervises and ensures architecture consistency
with enterprise standards, guidelines, and principles by conducting
regular reviews, audits, compliance checks, and providing feedback
for continuous improvement. • Serve as a trusted technical advisor
for teams looking for practical guidance on how to solve
architectural challenges. • Develops comprehensive architecture
plans and influences implementation strategies to drive business
improvements and innovation, with support from peers and leaders. •
Designs scalable and reusable frameworks, interfaces, and services
to support diverse business needs. • Delivers enterprise-grade
application programming interfaces, enabling seamless integration
and enhanced functionality across different systems and
applications. • Oversee the integration and maintenance of new and
existing platform components, ensuring optimal performance,
reliability, and scalability of software systems. • Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements,
develop implementation strategies, and ensure seamless integration
of complex software projects. Minimum Qualifications: • 7 years of
professional technical AI architectures and/or AI software
development experience. • Proven technical expertise in designing,
developing, and maintaining, products, platforms, and/or
architectures • Full software development lifecycle experience. •
Skilled in architecting scaled GenAI Solutions in public cloud (ex.
AWS, GCP, Azure). • Knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language
Model inference. • Knowledge of agentic coding (e.g., Github
Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, etc.). • Knowledge of agentic
architectures. • Knowledge of GenAI AI tools and frameworks, such
as Langchain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, etc. • Passion for
cutting edge technologies and excitement to tackle hard problems
before there are clear solutions. Also Critical to your Success: •

Experience building, developing, integrating with and/or launching
GenAI products in a highly regulated industry. Salary Range:
$144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable)
