Honeywell's Lifecycle Solutions and Services team is looking for an
energetic and innovative software developer with a deep background
in .NET, C#, and Azure cloud technology background to grow our
Phoenix development team. As a highly motivated, top-notch software
engineer, you will have the opportunity to identify and apply
breakthrough technologies to new and innovative Service
applications for our customers. Showcase your expertise as you
design, develop, implement, and test these new, exciting
products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global team to architect, design, and
implement new features and infrastructure to generate high customer
value
- Design and create testable, efficient code in a modern
Object-Oriented software language for cloud-based software
solutions, and mentor newer engineers in doing the same
- Ensure high quality solutions by creating test automation,
driving through peer-reviews throughout the R&D team, and
helping the support organization troubleshoot and solve critical
customer issues
- Follow security best-practices and policies in developing
best-in-class, secure software
- Partner with Product Owner and other stakeholders to understand
technology requirements/direction/changes, and deeply understand
customer needs
- Define development standards and best practices
- Provide regular updates and interaction for the assigned
tasks
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or
related discipline
- 14+ years of experience in Software Design &
Development
- 14+ years of combined experience building applications in
C#/.NET, C++, or similar object-oriented languages (C# experience
strongly preferred)
- 5+ years technical leadership experience within software
development teams
- 5+ years of experience working with REST, JSON,
microservices
- 3+ years of experience working within Azure cloud environment,
or 5+ years working with other cloud-hosted environments (AWS,
etc.)
- 3+ years building browser-based web applications
- 3+ years using Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver software
solutions
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
WE VALUE
- Deep understanding of web technology stack
- Deep experience with relational and time-series databases
(experience with PostgreSQL and Influx preferred)
- Development experience creating solutions that leverage Docker,
Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and related
containerization technologies
- Experience accelerating software build, test, and deployment by
leveraging DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with distributed control systems and industrial
automation
- Ability quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new
information, concepts, and technologies
