Responsibilities
The exact duties you will be asked to perform is dependent upon the
area for which you are hired. Currently, our client has need of
several Wireless Engineers at varying degrees and skillsets. You
will either work on their Field Area Network (FAN) side or as a
Wireless DC Engineer in Projects, or you will provide support and
float between the two.
Your duties may include:
--- Preparing specifications, evaluating bids, and preparing
recommendation materials for management consideration when
evaluating large or complex procurements--- Performing engineering
design, analysis, and studies in wireless networks--- Performing as
a staff consultant and / or advisor in wireless networks---
Providing engineering discipline leadership when administering and
reviewing work performed by consultants and others--- Preparing and
/ or conducting written and oral reports and presentations---
Actively promoting promoting safety within department in a
leadership role--- Actively developing and training engineers on
technical, project management, and / or best practices related
activities--- Identifying or creating development opportunities---
Establishing standards and facilitating Standards Change Processes
in the discipline when required
Qualifications--- Bachelor's Degree--- 7+ years of experience with
a Hybrid work schedule with flexible hours--- Experience with
general wireless and DC--- Intermediate network experience---
Microwave radio experience (Aviat and Cambium radio preferred)---
Experience with DC battery and Charger engineering (GE Lineage
chargers, understanding of different battery types, and Load
studies)--- Engineering understanding of Grounding--- Engineering
knowledge of RF analysis tools--- Engineering knowledge of Land
Mobile Radio Systems (Trunked, VHF and UHF)
