Purpose of JobWe are seeking a talented IMS Systems
Programmer-Senior Level for our San Antonio, Plano or Phoenix
facility. This person may also work remotely from a 100% remote
work environment.This position sits within the Core Infrastructure
Services organization, supporting the IMS system platform for USAA.
The candidate selected will work with a team to support and manage
the IMS system and supporting tools. Responsibilities include
ensuring continuous availability, IMS system health,
troubleshooting, IMS maintenance, researching issues, performance
and optimization. Additionally, the selected candidate will
identify and act on opportunities for monitoring and alerting,
operational efficiency, and automation.Responsible for creating,
modifying, maintaining and supporting infrastructure and individual
and integrated system components and solutions that enable and IT
Services. Balance availability, security, efficiency and functional
requirements to help provide an optimized production service.
Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from
business activities and ensure these risks are effectively
identified and escalated to be measured, monitored and

- ---Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem
from business activities and the job role.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are
effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
- Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and
procedures for business activities.
- Design, develop, code, and test significant technical solutions
collaborating with senior and lead engineers.
- Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and
accurate planning at a team level.
- Organize work and lead team to deliver features and
solutions.
- Independently resolves complex production issues and leads
troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions that span multiple
applications and systems.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
- May begin working with architecture to help influence
directions for key technologies within a specific domain.Minimum
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of experience beyond
the minimum requirement can be used in lieu of a degree.
- 6 years of infrastructure experience demonstrating depth of
technical understanding within a specific
discipline(s)/technology(s) to include 2 years' experience in
Systems Operations environment supporting complex environment
deployment and infrastructure management activities or applicable
IT experience such as IT Management, Software Development, Data
Engineering, and Agile Product/Release Management.
- 4 years of experience in creating, modifying, and maintaining
infrastructure and individual system components.
- Advanced level of business acumen in the areas of business
operations, risk management, industry practices and emerging
trends.
- Knowledge and proficient understanding of designing scalable IT
system infrastructures, implementing system changes, or automating
service delivery and maintenance tasks.When you apply for this

:
- Installation and Management of IMS subsystem including
supporting products (3rd party IMS tools) to ensure continuous
availability
- IMS Datasharing and Shared Queues experience
- CSL Common Service Layer Knowledge and/or DRD - Dynamic
Resource Definition Knowledge
- SMP/E skills
- Assembler Coding SkillsCompensation: USAA has an effective
method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure
we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based
on your experience and market position. The salary range for this
skill is $106,800- $192,300* (this does not include geographic
differential it may be applied based on your work
location)Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on
overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion
of the USAA Board of Directors.Geographical Differential:
Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible
employees working in locations where market pay levels are above
the national average.Shift premium: will be addressed on an
individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently
