About This Job:The Sr. Systems Administrator ensures reliability of our Windows Server farm and overall server infrastructure technologies. The Sr. System Admin is a technical authority on a team of skilled technicians, and leads the team in maintaining adherence to industry best practices and compliance with vendor-recommended standards. It requires 24x7 availability in an on-call rotation in order to maintain our customers' contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA). Work with key business users to understand the business requirements and potential solutions within the current architecture, as well as expanding the architecture to meet future business needs.Essential Duties:

  • Administration, maintenance, and provisioning of Windows app, database, and core servers
  • Balance "keep the lights on" (KTLO) efforts with project initiatives, upgrades, and optimization
  • Respond to system outages of any Windows Server system in a timely manner
  • Serve as technical escalation point for system upgrades, outages, or maintenance
  • Install and configure Active Directory components (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO)
  • Configure and maintain security policies through Group Policy
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with PCI-DSS standards across all enterprise systems
  • Install and configure file/print services and manage backup/retention/recovery processes
  • Manage domain permissions and follow the least privilege and separation of duties practices
  • Participate in and lead projects involving product/software evaluations and proofs of concept
  • Contribute to and lead the System Admin team in projects that support corporate business plans
  • Take active role in the planning, execution, and regular testing of disaster recovery processes
  • Act as the primary technical contact for corporate projects requiring IT resources
  • Respond to the needs and questions of users concerning access of network resources
  • Plan, test, implement, and support upgrades and changes to Windows-based servers
  • Work with vendors on vendor engagements and assessments
  • Provide leadership and direction to helpdesk personnel in problem solving and learning
  • Keep up to date on Microsoft technologies and product roadmaps
  • Keep IT team informed and/or trained on new technologiesOrganizational Environment
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2+
    • VMware vSphere and vCenter in the primary on-premise datacenter
    • Microsoft Hyper-V at international remote sites
    • Microsoft Active Directory for access and control to on-premise servers and LDAP-joined systems
    • Microsoft Azure Active Directory for the majority of non-IT personnel
    • Microsoft 365 full productivity suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
    • Microsoft 365 full security suite (MS Defender, Conditional Access, PIM, CAS, DLP)
    • Cisco UCS datacenter servers
    • PureStorage and Dell SAN arrays
    • F5 Load BalancersRequirements:
      • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or five (5) years of Microsoft experience
      • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure AD, Intune, Identity Management, Conditional Access
      • Expert knowledge of Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
      • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Server 2016/2019, Exchange Server 2019
      • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online and full Microsoft 365 security products
      • Expert experience with PowerShell
      • Advanced experience with virtualization (VMware and Microsoft)
      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2
      • Advanced networking knowledge (OSI network layers, firewalls, micro-segmentation)
      • Strong knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Flow and PowerApps
      • Functional knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies
      • Excellent troubleshooting processes and methodology
      • Excellent system and procedural documentation skills
      • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and cross-training to other System Admin team members
      • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals
      • Must be willing to occasionally work weekends and after hours during maintenance or upgrades
      • Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule that rotates weekly between the System Admin team
      • Low opportunity for business travel, rarely more than 1-3 weeks per year
