Our client is seeking a Software Development Manager that can be hands-on, to join them as they continue to really take off and disrupt their industry! Job Description:The Software Development Manager will manage a small team of engineers and will also work full stack and will work on their core platform used by their customers. You will build, design, and maintain tools, apis and platforms. You will look for chances to improve performance, create metrics and help mentor junior engineers. You will also manage and maintain a product across the full lifecycle and need to have past experience owning it from build to deploy to support. Over time the role will be less hands-on as they continue to hire and grow but the expectation is the manager will always be able to contribute hands-on as an engineer even if it's 10-20% of the time.Qualifications:

• 1+ year of management experience
• Experience working as a technical lead
• Experience mentoring and training developers
• 5+ years of experience as a back-end programming with NodeJS/PHP/Python/Ruby etc
• 5+ years of experience working with JavaScript and have 1+ years of ReactJs experience
• Ability to be hands-on -50% of the time
• Experience building SaaS applications
• Experience owning a product from build to deploy to support
• Experience building large-scale, distributed, high-volume systems
• Very familiar creating and consuming API's ( RESTful API's)
• AWS experience
• Solving large-application/user-level problems, performance, scalability, etc.
• PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Open Source technologies
• Continuous integration (Jenkins/Hudson) and version control (SVN, Git)
• Strong grasp of development best practices!
• Good Communication skills
