Job Description:

A 100 room, lifestyle hotel, Amara is a destination for everyone steps away from the shops of Uptown Sedona and the sounds of the creek.

Often the first and last contact for our guests, the Guest Services Supervisor is a critical link to guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising staff, welcoming guests, processing registration and check-out, anticipating guest needs and meeting or exceeding those needs, responding to and resolving guest inquires and complaints, coordinating with other departments to ensure guests feel well-cared for and valued. This person should be very comfortable interacting with guests and potential clients in a highly professional manner.

--- Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
--- Monitor all VIP and special guest requests.
--- Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
--- Be familiar with all in-house groups.
--- Ensure that all guests feel welcomed to the property and greet by name.
--- Register guests and assign rooms.
--- Assist Front Office Manager in ensuring that team members are following and maintaining standards.
--- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to the guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude.
--- Promote hotel amenities and services to guests using personal knowledge and effective selling techniques.
--- Provide constant and consistent communication with other departments and supervisors/managers in order to ensure guest satisfaction.
--- Answer all guest inquiries in a timely and professional nature.
--- Be involved in departmental meeting, planning and execution.
--- Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards.
--- Assist in training and cross training of new hires and current team member on a regular basis.
--- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
--- Assist in coverage of front desk duties/scheduling.
--- Perform other duties as required by management.
--- Valet duties will also be expected.

--- High School diploma or GED
--- At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
--- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
--- Must have a valid driver's license for the application state.
--- Basic computer skills
--- Must be able to read, communicate effectively and have superb interpersonal skills.
--- Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints.
