Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the
Cover Care Brand are adhered to in each assigned market. This
position manages the brand, leads the people and supports upper
management. This position travels to each assigned market on a
regular basis, evaluates work performed and ensures brand
adherence, all while working as part of the team they lead.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:
- Contributes to the daily work requirement in the market they
live in.
- Daily communication with HQ and each assigned market
- Review previous jobs visited by the area manager/technician.
Ensure the work was performed following the standards of the Cover
Care Way.
- Follow up with homeowners the area manager/technician has
previously interacted with. Ensure they are completely
delighted.
- Participate in SWAT assignments as needed.
- Ensure the Area Manager/Technician is properly dressed and
representing the Cover Care Brand.
- Ensure the Field Service Assistant is properly dress and
representing the Cover Care Brand.
- Ensure the Area Manager/Technicians vehicle is in proper order
and representing the brand.
- Visit jobsites with the Area Manager/Technician. Ensure all
aspects of the Cover Care Brand and Cover Care Way are adhered to.
This position observes and documents.
- Provide constant feedback to Area Managers/Technicians.
- Provide professional, courteous customer delight. Secondary
Functions:
- Perform sales visits as assigned.
- Lead weekly regional field meetings.
- Review and approve time cards and time off requests.
- Ensure regular preventative maintenance is performed on the
company vehicle you are driving and notify the Director of
Operations of any problems.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle.
- Consistently represent the brand that you are managing.
- Perform onsite training as requested.
- Visit the local storage unit ensuring its organization.
- Complete annual performance evaluations of all assigned
employees.
- Prepare weekly expense reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the
following education and/or experience.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 5+ years of automatic pool cover service experience is
required.
- Management or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Valid drivers license is required. Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Ability to prioritize, organize, manage time effectively, and
multitask.
- Ability to provide direction and/or feedback to service
technicians and Area Managers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work additional hours beyond eight hours per day and
weekends as required.
- Ability to depart on short notice as required.
- Ability to travel for multiple nights in a row. PHYSICAL
DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those

- This position requires regular exposure to an outdoor
environment, noise, hot and cold temperatures, dirt/dust, moving
parts, fumes/odors, and heavy machinery and equipment.
