Monitor Tech Location: Phoenix, AZ Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $792 to $986 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/14/2026 About the Position Job Title Tech, Radiology, Monitor Tech City/State: Phoenix, Arizona Shift: 12H Nights, must be available for 2-3 day shifts for orientation, holidays, and weekends Contract Length: 12 weeks Start Date: 04/14/2026 Job Description: This complex position is responsible for performing remote surveillance for multiple locations, specific to cardio-pulmonary rhythms via a central monitoring station, and for recognizing, recording and reporting potentially dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias following established standards and procedures per applicable regulatory requirements. Work is primarily performed in a centralized monitoring unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Each Technician can potentially watch up to 60 patients due to the highly advanced IT technology capabilities. The incumbent will accurately recognize cardiac rhythms and follow command center policy. Accurately take appropriate action and follow established protocols in notifying local RN staff of changes in cardiac rhythm and arrhythmias. The incumbent is expected to follow proper communication channels in handling routine and emergency situations; follow established protocols/procedures; have awareness of and strive to improve patient outcomes and department metrics. Responsibilities: Perform remote surveillance for cardio-pulmonary rhythms via central monitoring station. Recognize and report dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias. Notify local RN staff of changes in cardiac rhythm following protocols. Improve patient outcomes and department metrics through effective communication and monitoring. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited program with EKG Interpretation. Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience. BLS Certification. Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam.
