Mayo Clinic, a leading nonprofit medical practice and research group, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Procurement team. This role combines clinical expertise with a passion for saving lives, ensuring organ transplant procedures are coordinated efficiently and compassionately. As a Transplant Procurement Coordinator, you will be pivotal in managing organ procurement activities, including donor assessment, family liaison, and coordination with surgical teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on patient care in a globally recognized healthcare institution. Evaluate potential donors and confirm donor eligibility in compliance with national standards. Facilitate communication among donor families, transplant teams, and other healthcare professionals. Coordinate logistics for organ recovery, including travel and surgical team readiness. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to ensure timely organ procurement. Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Strong clinical skills and understanding of transplant procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in complex and critical situations. Proficient in handling sensitive or confidential information discreetly. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required.
