Banner University Medical Group - Phoenix is seeking an
experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Acute Care Nurse
Practitioner) to assist with our Neurosurgery patients in our
hospital. This exciting role supports the Neurosurgery service team
in their growing practice. About Neurosurgery at Banner Thunderbird

neurosurgery team collaborates closely with specialists in
neurology, neurocritical care, and rehabilitation to provide
comprehensive, patient-centered care. With state-of-the-art
surgical technology, a dedicated neuro ICU, and access to Banner
Healths extensive network, we deliver high-quality outcomes for a
diverse and growing patient population. As a Nurse Practitioner,
this position is involved in management of patients, performance of
therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic
tests, prescription of medications, providing education, completing
consultations, participating in research, assisting in the OR,
attending Inpatient rounds. This position requires working closely
with our Neurosurgeons in a side-by-side approach to patient care.
Required Qualifications: Board Certified Background in Neurosurgery
and/or Neurology Current Arizona Medical License Critical Care
training and experience Must have at least 3 years experience
Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS. Current prescribing privileges
including a DEA license for controlled substance Structured
schedule with shared call coverage Banner Thunderbird Medical
Center (BTMC) has served the Northwest Valley for more than 25
years with an unrelenting focus on excellent patient care. A
recently completed $290 million expansion showcases BTMCs Level I
Adult Trauma Center for patients 15 and older. Designation as an
Arizona Level I Trauma Center means Banner Thunderbird can provide
total care for every aspect of injury, greatly reducing the need to
transfer patients outside the area for life-saving treatment.
Examples of injuries a Level I can treat include traumatic car
crash injuries, gunshot victims, stab wounds and traumatic brain
injuries. BTMC has approximately 600 beds, and has increased its OR
capacity to 19 state-of-the-art surgical suites and full complement
of medical sub-specialties support a growing patient base and the
