Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Prescott, AZ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,167 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/24/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Minimum 1 year in PCU setting Description: Prescreen and manager review required. Clinician must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract. If clinician fails to score 80% within two attempts, they will be disqualified for 6 months. Radius Rule: 50 miles. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facility within the past year. Float Pool includes MedSurg, Tele, and PCU across multiple campuses. Includes inpatients holding in ED. Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6. Common diagnoses include geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural patients. Responsibilities involve caring for groin sites, post-MI patients, and post-cardiac catheterization patients. Nurses required to titrate various drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, and insulin. Each unit will have a charge nurse who does not take assignments. Nurse aides will be utilized in all settings. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow in stepdown units. Monitors are available in the stepdown, with monitor techs monitoring tele and MedSurg Tele. Nurses must be able to interpret strips. Shift scheduling will be managed by the staffing office; published six weeks out for four weeks. Night shifts will accommodate block scheduling when possible. Every other weekend commitment is required. Travelers will participate in the permanent staff holiday rotation. No call or standby requirements. Assignments are communicated 2 hours before the start of the shift. Scrub color is to be solid color professional scrubs, transitioning to navy scrubs. Cancellation policy allows for four shifts per contract, three shifts if contract is under 13 weeks. Charting system used is Cerner. BSN is not required. Trauma level and care setting are acute.
