Immediate Opening: Orthopedic Surgeon Specific Block Dates Arizona We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon for a specialized locum tenens assignment in the scenic Cottonwood/Black Canyon City area. This role is ideal for a surgeon who excels in high-impact environments and is proficient in managing complex cases, including pelvic and acetabular fractures. Schedule & Coverage Details This role utilizes a 24-hour on-call model with specific coverage blocks: Night Shifts: 5 nights per week (19:00 07:00), 8 hours active. Specific Required Dates: Jan 16 (07:00) Jan 19 (07:00): Includes clinic on Jan 16. Feb 12 (07:00) Feb 16 (07:00): Includes clinic on Feb 13. Mar 27 (07:00) Mar 30 (07:00): Includes clinic on Mar 27. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive orthopedic surgical care within hospital and clinic settings. Manage an average of 6 new consults per day. Perform surgeries and consults with minimal PM coverage after 22:00. Utilize Cerner EMR for all charting and documentation. Support & Environment Surgical Support: Professional scrub techs are available in the OR. Note: APP first assisting is not available for this assignment. Setting: A dynamic hospital environment focused on rapid patient recovery and high-quality outcomes. Requirements Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery. Licensure: Active Arizona medical license (or IMLC eligibility). Credentials: Valid DEA required; BLS preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of post-residency orthopedic surgery experience.
