ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Every 3rd weekend requirement • Work 3 of 6 major holidays • Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required • Must have 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience (will screen busy Level 3) • Previous travel experience preferred • Patient ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:3 Level 2 • Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting (two attempts allowed, 80% passing score) • Complete day 1 pass/fail SIMs lab for Foley catheter insertion • Navy scrub color required • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Cardiac STABLE plus • Cerner EMR system experience • Phillips telemetry monitoring • Floating to mother baby and labor care (babies only) • Floor-specific orientation: 2-3 days • Care for premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO and cooling patients • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This healthcare facility features a comprehensive 71-bed Level 4 NICU with 17 stepdown beds and 4 private rooms. The facility maintains 24/7 neonatologist and midlevel coverage, respiratory therapy services, and specialized NICU pharmacy support during day hours. The unit is equipped with advanced monitoring systems and provides care for the most critical neonatal cases including ECMO and therapeutic cooling. The facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center in an acute care setting, maintaining high standards for sterile procedures and specialized neonatal care.
