ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Adult Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Self-scheduling available with scheduler's right to rebalance schedule • 3 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks • Holiday work based on core staff rotation • Must have Level 1 trauma experience • 2 years ICU experience required in 600 bed teaching facility • Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed) • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes • 2 shifts on-the-floor orientation • Float requirements among all ICU areas and MedSurg/Tele units • May be required to float to St. Joseph Westgate campus • Must have own vehicle for transportation • Dress code: Navy scrubs • Natural hair color required, no facial piercings • Men must be clean shaven for fit test • Work with common titratable and set rate drips • Read and interpret own telemetry strips • Care for patients in SICU/MICU/Trauma ICU units (40 beds per unit, 120 beds total) • Handle various diagnoses including sepsis, trauma patients, transplant cases, and post-operative recovery • Assist with bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and hemodialysis catheter placements • Work with ventilator equipment including Cervo I, Jets, and Oscillators • Use Cerner charting system Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a Level 1 trauma facility with over 600 beds, featuring comprehensive ICU services including surgical, medical, and trauma intensive care units. The facility maintains 24/7 intensivist coverage and respiratory therapy support, offering advanced care for complex medical conditions including organ transplants, trauma cases, and critical medical emergencies.
