ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) • Every 3rd weekend requirement • Work 3 of 6 major holidays • Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required • Must have 2 years of Level 4 experience (will screen busy Level 3) • Previous travel experience preferred • Patient ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:3 Level 2 • Navy scrubs required • Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting (two attempts allowed, 80% passing score) • Complete pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion on Day 1 • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Cardiac STABLE plus • Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry • May float to Mother Baby and Labor Care (babies only) • Floor-specific orientation: 2-3 days • Care for premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO and cooling patients • Work in 71-bed unit (17 stepdown beds) with 4 private rooms • Charge nurse responsibilities available with no patient assignment • Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract Facility: This Level 1 trauma center features a comprehensive 71-bed Level 4 NICU with specialized care capabilities including ECMO and cooling treatments. The facility provides 24/7 neonatologist and midlevel coverage, respiratory therapy services, and dedicated NICU pharmacy support during day hours. The organization maintains high standards for nursing competency and expects proficiency in sterile field maintenance and specialized neonatal procedures.
