Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Varied work schedule with weekend and holiday requirements • Float per facility guidelines • Current, valid RN license in state of practice required • BLS certification required • Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required • Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area • Bachelor's degree preferred • Professional certification preferred • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients • Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Complete patient assessments and reassessments according to patient needs and policy guidelines • Formulate and implement plans of care including discharge planning • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members • Provide patient and family education • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds • Requires physical agility to respond to unexpected patient care needs • Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids Facility: This healthcare organization is a leading medical center that provides comprehensive patient care services with a focus on excellence in nursing practice.
