This role involves collecting and synthesizing comprehensive data to create accurate, de-identified case narratives for committee review. The Nurse Abstractor will review, extract, and summarize data from various records, identifying and documenting key life circumstances, system interactions, and risk and protective factors related to the decedent's experience. Comprehensive, de-identified case summaries are developed for multidisciplinary committee review. The position requires adherence to trauma-informed and culturally responsive principles to honor the individual’s story and context. All data must be entered into secure databases while complying with relevant privacy requirements. Collaboration with team members to prioritize cases and prepare materials for review meetings is essential. Maintaining strict confidentiality of all case materials and adhering to applicable protocols and regulations is required.
