Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Phoenix,

field Description: The position requires working in a labor and
delivery unit that accommodates various types of patients. The unit
consists of multiple delivery rooms, high-risk areas, OR, PACU,
triage, and antecare. Approximately 300 births occur each month.
RNs will have a nurse-patient ratio of 1:1 during active delivery
and 1:2 during labor for LDR. In antecare, the ratio will be 1:4.
RNs are responsible for following patients to the OR and PACU. The
electronic medical record system used is Cerner. RNs are required
to titrate drips, including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate. Both OB
and Neonatologist are present in-house 24/7. Anesthesia is
available in-house 24/7. Charge nurses oversee all areas and
usually do not have patient assignments. Patient care technicians
assist in antenatal and labor delivery rooms. The role requires
rotating weekends and working during major holidays. Scrubs are
provided. RNs may float throughout the obstetrics arena. Common
patient diagnoses include multiples and preterm deliveries. RNs are
expected to respond to OB trauma. In PACU, RNs will also circulate
and recover patients. Cancellation policy allows for a limited
number of shifts to be canceled during the assignment. 5 Benefits
