Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ED Job Details: • Work a varied schedule in the Emergency Department • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for patients • Required certifications: TNCC, NIH, BLS, and current valid RN license • Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team • Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed • Document all nursing activities including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation • Participate in shared leadership, education, orientation and mentoring activities • Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel in providing quality patient care • Must maintain clinical performance competencies with annual validations • Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months required • Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred • Must possess physical agility and adequate reaction time for emergency situations • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient assistance • Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids Facility: This medical center is part of a comprehensive healthcare organization that provides excellent patient care through evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards.
