Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring AZ or compact RN license and advanced L&D skills. Responsibilities - Work in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit - Patient ratios are typically 1-2 couplets - Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 - Float occasionally to PostPartum unit if within scope - Will provide care for antepartum, LDRP, and mother/baby cases - No on-call responsibilities - Minimum of 3 weekend shifts per month is required - Provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period - Assist with C-section, forceps/vacuum deliveries, and high-risk procedures - Educate and discharge parents, provide newborn assessment and care - Use of PPE and adherence to isolation precautions required - Blackout dates for RTO include 11/26-11/30 and 12/24-1/1 - Block scheduling is not permitted - Annual and pre-start modules are required and may be completed onsite or at home Requirements - Active AZ or Compact RN license required - Minimum 3 years of high-acuity L&D experience required, or 2 years if from teaching or high-risk facility - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate - Proficiency with sterile speculum and vaginal exams, NST, EFM, IUPC, blood administration, IVs, high-risk deliveries, and postpartum care - Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility - Will consider first-time travelers with a minimum of 5 years L&D experience - Preferred: AWHONN Advanced, C-EFM, RNC-OB certifications and Level III L&D experience Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627909.
