American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Home Health ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER Float RN in Arizona to provide emergency care across multiple West Valley locations, requiring an AZ or compact RN license and at least two years of recent ER experience. Responsibilities - Work in acute care emergency room settings at various West Valley satellite locations - Expected to float between multiple ER sites in the area with advance scheduling - Night shifts of 12 hours, with every other weekend required - Unit staffing typically consists of only two RNs per satellite location - Patient ratios are 4:1 - Ventilator care duties are included - ER staff are responsible for lab draws - Cerner is used for charting and documentation - Responsibilities include performing lab draws and ventilator management as part of ER care - No dedicated IV team is available; ER nurses perform IV tasks - Must adhere to the required Galaxy Blue scrub dress code - Holiday coverage may be required based on facility needs - First-day orientation includes floor-specific training and simulation lab - Travelers who fail required testing on second attempt will be ineligible for 6 months - COVID declinations accepted for medical or religious reasons - Returning employees may not have worked at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year Requirements - Active AZ or compact RN license required at the time of application - Minimum of two years of recent ER experience required - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC - Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts maximum) - Pass/fail SIM lab required on Day 1 (Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath), strict sterile technique required - Ability to work night shifts and float between locations as needed - Must provide two professional references per guidelines - Copy of driver's license required for consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628295.
