Phoenix, Arizona, Metro Area District Medical Group, Inc., (DMG), a large multi-specialty faculty practice group is seeking an outpatient Attending Psychiatrist for our adult Mesa Behavioral Health Specialty Clinic (MBHSC). We are looking for a full-time psychiatrist to serve as lead for outpatient team serving people with the serious mental illness insurance benefit in Mesa, Arizona. It’s a brand-new building that also serves an ACT team (Assertive Community Treatment) and is on the same grounds as one of our inpatient hospitals. The position is 40 hours per week and most psychiatrists choose to work a 4-day 10 hour per day week schedule, but a 5 day 8 hour schedule is available as well. The team serves about 300 patients total and is comprised of the psychiatrist, clinical coordinator, a nurse, a medical assistant, several Team Specialists who provide case management, a Peer Support Specialist, an Education/Employment Specialist, and 2 administrative positions. Our PGY3 and PGY4 adult psychiatry residents rotate through the clinic, along with some medical students, so teaching is a strong component in this role. This position includes faculty appointment (for eligible candidates) to the Creighton School of Medicine in Phoenix and the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and involvement in resident and medical student education. This is a full-time position with all benefits, including four weeks of paid time off, 10 paid holidays, one week of CME (with an annual CME allowance of $4,000), ten paid holidays, retirement plan and employer paid malpractice coverage. Candidates must be Board certified or in the process of Board certification and must possess an Arizona medical license prior to beginning employment.
