Job Description:

We are looking for professional and compassionate employees to care for women and girls with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in a residential group home setting. We provide quality care for our members in a comfortable and safe environment. Our ideal candidates will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Provides basic patient care with patient orientation to the treatment plan. Monitors patient activity and physical and mental status. Assists in providing a safe and orderly care environment. Maintains patient advocacy through observation and reporting behaviors, communications, and physical status. Recognizes patients that exhibit aggressive behavior, act as a danger to themselves or others, or are in crisis constituting a medical emergency. Provides intervention to include, but not limited to, redirecting the patient and/or participating in restraint or seclusion as needed. Assesses and interacts with patients' families and/or clinical teams. Provides care that promotes dignity, independence, strength, privacy, and choice. Exhibits respect for diversity and boundaries. Provides optimal care by maintaining a skill set related to symptoms and treatment of behavioral disorders relevant to treatment practices in accordance with State regulations. Maintains knowledge of prescribed medications for the patient group with side effects. Must be able to work in a Team Environment.
