Job Description:

Under general direction, is responsible to identify, recruit, admit, and enroll academically qualified non-traditional adult students in accordance with the philosophy of the University; keeps frequent contact with prospective students, applicants, and newly admitted students; demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of students; conducts routine visits to area community colleges and employers; coordinates on and off-campus recruitment events; performs duties in accordance with the values of a Jesuit, liberal arts education.
Qualifications: Bachelors' degree 4-6 years' related advising/counseling experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of admission terminology and tests Interpersonal/human relations skills Verbal and written communication skills Effective presentation skills Planning and organizational skills Basic research skills Ability to operate personal computer with various software programs Ability to learn and apply institutional policies and procedures Ability to maintain schedules Ability to demonstrate self-direction and motivation Ability to work effectively in a team setting Willingness to travel/drive and work on weekends and nights Ability to handle stress due to travel Required Licenses/Certifications: Physical Requirements: Seeing: 75 - 100% Hearing: 50-75% Standing/Climbing/Mobility: 0-24% Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0-24% (pound: lbs.)
