Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The Optum Associate Director of Clinician Experience Team is responsible for supporting complex program and event development, growth and enhancement through project management and implementation best practices using models, tools and/or technology through collaboration across multiple business segments. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clinical program SME
  • Understands the organization's operations, products and applications, strategies, processes, and/or business priorities
  • Knowledge of business & clinical systems and tools for process design and operational implementation of programs and projects
  • Operationalizing workflow processes to support initiatives, pilots
  • Accountable for the performance and direction of local markets to successfully implement initiatives and pilots
  • Conduct post-mortems on implementations and pilots
  • Understanding the upstream and downstream impacts to all aspects of clinical program implementation at the market and national level
  • Innovative process management and total quality management
  • Create clinical program approaches, workflows and reporting
  • Review performance metrics routinely to measure against goals and for early detection of issues, trends, etc.
  • Collaborate across Home and Community business to support rollout of new initiatives
  • Establish key partnerships with clinical leadership and staff to ensure initiative and/or pilot success
  • Establish key partnerships with internal and external business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of initiatives and/or pilot projects
  • Understand external customer focus to ensure client requirements are met
  • Ensure contractual requirements are effectively translated into contractually compliant clinical workflows and processes You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
    • BA/BS degree in business operations, project management or related field OR equivalent education and experience
    • 5+ years of project management, program/product implementation and management, and/or business operations experience
    • 3+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects/programs, working with large data sets, and making data-driven analytical decisions
    • Ability to travel up to 25%

      • Master's degree in business, project management, or related field
      • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
