Job Description:
Position: Client Services Support Specialist Department: Release
of Information (ROI) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly Location: NC,
SC or must live near a major airport - will work remote when not
traveling to client sites - this is a full-time position 50-70%
travel required throughout the year - can be weeks at a time This
position pays a competitive hourly rate and is eligible to earn a
quarterly bonus based on performance goals Most client sites
require proof of Covid vaccination Overview Of Position The Client
Services Support Specialist ensures ScanSTAT Technologies standards
for quality and customer service are being delivered to our
customers. The main role of this position is providing Release of
Information Services as a point of contact for employees within
their area of responsibility. The Client Services Support
Specialist manages the workflow on sites and between sites in their
area of responsibility and leads site productivity initiatives and
is expected to meet compliance and regulatory standards in
accordance with state and federal statutes. The Client Services
Support Specialist is expected to maintain good communication and
build long-term relationships with our customers, employees and
ScanSTAT management. Duties and Tasks: Assists in the achievement
of company goals and objectives through supporting achievement of
team goals, measuring results and running reports. Leads the
employees to successfully complete the day to day operational tasks
of the site under the Regional Director---s and the VP of Client
Service---s guidance. Helps implement new client sites by
supporting onsite staff and ensures the successful launch of
services. Manages all requests and inquiries for patient health
information; validates HIPAA compliant authorization; ensures
requesting party has a legal right to patient information;
dispenses patient health information with accountability to all
regulatory entities and according to the facility---s policies and
procedures. (See Release of Information Services Job Description
for a full list of ROIS responsibilities.) Provides assistance to
all employees in all phases of operations; serves as ROI back-up
when employees are out. Runs reports from various EMR systems in
order to effectively manage staff productivity, weekly facility
productivity and turnaround time (TAT). Supports the Regional
Director to ensure a 99.5% accuracy rating for each assigned site.
Conducts site visits to build client relationships and ensure
high-quality work is being delivered. Maintains daily and/or weekly
phone contact with employees and client health information
department management. Actively contributes to the morale and
teamwork of the staff and facility and always presents a positive
attitude and patient-minded vision, with patient satisfaction as
the continuous goal. Recruits potential new candidates, reviews
resume, and submitted applications, conducts initial phone screens
and recommends candidates for the second interview by the Regional
Director or VP of Client Services. Makes hiring recommendations to
the Regional Director of Client Services Helps onboard, train,
motivate, coach, develop and retain ScanSTAT employees. Assists in
researching, troubleshooting and resolving complex medical record
requests in accordance with state laws and stipulations. Keeps
current with ongoing or new legislative issues related to the
release of information. Assists in documenting employee---s
performance, accuracy, and attendance or behavior problems and
communicates these issues to the Regional Director. Assists in
maintaining and documenting daily attendance records and timesheets
for payroll purposes. Helps manage labor costs and makes
recommendations to the Regional Director for improvements in
workflow management. Collaborates with the accounting department to
correct invoicing errors. Orders supplies and monitors supply
orders to meet budgetary requirements. Assists with employee
IT/computer issues by working with the facility---s IT department,
or the ScanSTAT IT and security team. Conducts, assigns and tracks
staff continuing education efforts through various client learning
systems. Ensures continuous training and development of employees.
Assists in developing new business, including occasional marketing
efforts. Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance at all
times Supports and adheres to all company and facility policies and
required programs. Additional duties as assigned. Understands that
this role requires specific responsibilities for protecting

Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory
responsibilities. Required and or Desired Skills and Experience: At
least three years of management experience is required. Three years
of medical records and/or medical office setting; release of
information experience preferred, or combination of education and
experience. Has an advanced working knowledge of the release of
information process, especially as it relates to patient care and
billing information. An Associate---s Degree from an accredited
institution in Business Management or Healthcare Administration
preferred. Two years EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience.
Expert knowledge of HIPAA, state medical records laws, and
sensitive information laws. A valid, unrestricted driver---s
license and proof of current insurance is required. Physical
Demands: The position is primarily sedentary requiring sitting and
typing up to 100% of the day. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force to
lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the
human body. Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking
are required. Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity
are frequently required. Keying data is repetitive motion and is
frequently required. The position is not substantially exposed to
adverse environmental conditions. Driving and/or traveling to
client locations is frequently required. Understanding of Job
Essentials Work Environment: This job is a clerical position and
requires familiarity with standard office equipment such as
computers and phones. You must have a designated space, strong
internet and computer to complete this role. Because you will be
handling confidential client information, you must work from your
home office. You cannot work in a public location (like a coffee
shop or the library). In some instances, computer equipment will be
supplied by the Company. Professionalism Expectations: All
