What We Need We are seeking a proven Operations leader who is passionate about leading people, driving strategic thinking and possesses robust analytical skills. The person in this role - Vice President of Operations Strategy & Analytics - must have a proven track record of delivering results in Collections & Recoveries through data driven insights that lead to strategy changes. This role also encompasses the full breadth of operations strategy from sales to customer service, manual fraud reviews and customer verification. The ideal candidate must possess fungible analytical and strategic skills that can apply to these areas if you do not have past experiences. We are looking for a player coach – someone who needs to be strategic but can also get their hands dirty and show the way to junior talent. Success in this role would need this candidate to deliver goals across a balanced scorecard of customer experience, quality, economics and talent. We are seeking a strong communicator who will interface directly with Executive/C level leaders at Company, large investors who purchase loans at Company as well as cross-functional peers across Credit, Technology, Legal & Compliance, Marketing and the rest of Operations. You will report to the EVP of Operations and will directly manage a team that has both Operations Directors as well as analytical talent. You can be located either in our offices in sunny Phoenix, AZ or have the ability to work remote with some travel from practically anywhere else! What You Will Do Communicate a compelling strategy to C/Exec level leaders, peers and your own team Lead, via two Director level direct reports Collection & Recovery Strategy and Operations, consisting of 1st and 3rd party outsourcers and debt buyers Lead all outsourced Sales, Service and Verification operations Lead analysts to improve operations to achieve goals across a balanced scorecard Drive material improvements in Collections & Recoveries performance by optimizing calling strategies, tool offerings, segmentations, buy vs. hold decisions, etc. Own understanding and explanation of variances from goals and related next steps Drive material improvements in customer experience and quality across all functions within scope Partner with the in-house Operations teams, Technology, Credit, Legal & Compliance to deliver strategy changes Communicate effectively with large investors who purchase loans to help them understand Company’s Operational strategy, especially Collections and Recoveries What You Will Need To Have A strong people leader who keeps their entire team highly engaged Proven experience driving robust outcomes in Collections & Recoveries performance through strategy changes and data driven insights Experience in other third-party operations (sales, service) is not necessary but ability to demonstrate fungibility of thinking and application of core skills across areas is necessary Be a player coach – Company is a start-up and teams are small but mighty. Our leaders are strategic but are also very hands on. The ideal candidate will be happy to hop in and show how it’s done! A leader who internalizes accountability and ownership, and takes them very seriously Effective communicator to variety of audiences – Execs, peers, investors, team Ability to structure unstructured problems; has proven ability to find a way! Credit cards or personal loans (unsecured lending –preferred!) experience required Robust analytical skills: expert in statistical modeling not required, but must be an expert at being a customer to such talent and spotting analytical flaws Proven results in managing and developing a team of analysts Should be willing to travel a few days each month
